Kendell Anderson
My name is Kendell Anderson. I am the head winemaker for The Winery at Bull Run and Old Farm Winery at Hartland in Northern Virginia. I have been in the industry for 5 years now and in production going on 4 years. I graduated from The College of William and Mary with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology and was a D1 Football player. I currently am in charge of the production of about 12,000 cases of wine a year. I had no formal background in wine, only a passion for farming and creating a product that could be enjoyed by all walks of life. The life that wine has allowed me to access and live is something that I want everyone to know about and enjoy.

Lance also had the opportunity to be on the committee to judge the wines for the 2024 Governers Cup, further demonstrating his commitment to the craft. Lance is making his first wine in collaboration with Reggie Leonard at Common Wealth Crush. They are the first to be part of this exciting inaugural incubator program. Their wine is titled The Parallax Project, which focuses on exploring the juxtaposition between the traditional Vitis Vinifera Grape and the new wave of grape growing in Virginia with Hybrids. Lance's journey in wine is about appreciation and active participation, making his mark on the industry from vine to bottle
